This hand-crafted industrial drafting table has a gorgeous reclaimed teak wood top featuring clean edges and the water-based catalyzed natural finish on the wood offers durability while showcasing the natural grain of the wood. Affixed to either end of the base are two rods that fit into the industrial cast iron base where the crank mechanism is connected to an antique styled handle, allowing the table's top to be either horizontal (for use as a standard table) or slanted up to a 60 degree angle (to be used as a drafting desk). The crank handle turns this in an industrial standing desk, adjustable in height from 33 inches to 42 inches high.
Removable Stability Bar
This vintage drafting desk comes with a removable metal ledge. This handy ledge lets you place your pens and pencils at your drafting desk without them falling to the ground. And if you're finding that it is in the way, just loosen the screws and remove it from the desk surface.
Reclaimed Teak Wood Surface
Teak is considered to be the "gold standard" for decay resistance. This is because of its oil retention. While all woods contain oils that protect the tree (think maple sap or tea tree oil), teak exceptionally retains these oils and its rubber even after being felled and processed.

Some quick notes about this chart:
- The standard height of a desk = roughly 29 inches. If your desk is different, measure it and adjust the numbers on the chart accordingly.
- "Lowest height of standing desk converter keyboard tray" = the height from the floor to the top of the keyboard tray if the standing desk converter is at its lowest height.
- The chart above assumes that the top shelf of the standing desk converters is 4 inches higher than the top of the keyboard tray.

First off, I was impressed by the packaging of this table. It arrived securely strapped to a pallet. It arrived without a scratch, dent or ding. After taking off the packaging, it was fairly easy to assemble.
I like the 62 inch width. This will allow me to not only create my portraits on, but will also accommodate a 42 inch mat cutter. So, from start to finish, it can all be done on this table.
Another thing that is impressive about this table is the height adjustment. When creating large scale artwork, this is a must.
Another impressive feature is the pencil ledge. This thing is heavy and solid.
I wish I could have had this table 41 years ago when I started in the art field because I would still have it today.
